Society is an open-ended partnership between generations. The dead and the unborn are as much members of society as the living. To dishonor the dead is to reject the relation on which society is built - a relation of obligation between generations. Those who have lost respect for the dead have ceased to be trustees of their inheritance. Inevitably, therefore, they lose the sense of obligation to future generations. The web of obligations shrinks to the present tense. ~ Edmund Burke

Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Children: Elian Gonzales times 437

Sending the 437 Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints children off to foster care is downright awful and reminds me of shipping Gonzales back to Cuba.

That is already a verdict rendered against them and without justice.

This has nothing to do with child abuse and everything to do with the production of uniformity and conformity. It has everything to do with a lack of respect for the children and their elders and their way of life.
Freedom and rights may as well be flushed down the drain. It's happened before in America. The State has deported people for their beliefs, rousted them, jailed them for taking substances, sent them to camps because they were the wrong race, and of course made them slaves.
It is still heartbreaking to see innocents steamrollered by the State.

This little article by Michael S. Rozeff is the only sensible thing I have read since big government, on a tip that may turn out to be fabricated, invaded the homes and holy spaces of the members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS).
As a former practicing Mormon, having been raised in an LDS family, I have been questioned about this by many colleagues and friends who know of my religious upbringing. My take is pretty straight forward and goes like this:
  1. There are plenty of allegations, but as of now there have been no trials or convictions.
  2. If some one has done something illegal, arrest the wrong-doer, put him or her on trial, and let the cards fall where they may. There is no reason, however, to disrupt a whole community.
  3. The allegations are currently being made against the MEN of the sect and not the WOMEN, nevertheless, the women are not being allowed by the government to see their own children. Do they pose a danger to the children? If so, how?
  4. Even with the alleged abuse, what do you think is going to happen to these children-- ripped from their families and thrust into a world about which they know nothing and for which they are not equipped to adapt? I shudder to think!
  5. Does anyone really believe that these children will be better off in the care of THE STATE!?!?

Have doubts about the monstrosity of this action, listen to the story of this ordeal as told by some of the mothers.

I find it odd that we have recently exposed elected officials engaged in bathroom-stall sexual escapades, solicitation and employment of prostitutes, and engagement in all kinds of extra-marital sexual activities while married to one woman, and no one has raided their homes, taken their children into "protective custody," separated mothers from their children, or even suggest such a thing ought to be done.

YET, these paragons of righteousness and their colleagues think they know better than these religious folks (strange as they may seem) how best to raise their children?

Let me be clear, child abuse is a serious crime and-- if properly charged and convicted-- should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

However, until that happens, these people ought to be able to collect their children and go home while they await their trial.

If there be any women who do not wish to return with their children, there is no one who is going to make them return. They are free to go. BUT, those who do and have chosen this life should be allowed to live their lives free from molestation by the government UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!

Bob Odenkirk's The Truth About Lincoln

Bob Odenkirk brings us an obscure French documentary that tells us the truth about Abraham Lincoln.

Apparently, Mr. Lincoln survived the bullet at Ford's Theatre and is still among us today. (And not in just in the effects of his wicked administration and war crimes against the South.)

Click the link below to view this startling documentary about where "Honest" Abe is today!

Happy Secession Day!

On this day in 1860, South Carolina resumed the powers it had delegated to the Federal Union by its ratification of the U.S. Constitution and became a free and independent State:

AN ORDINANCE to dissolve the union between the State of South Carolina and other States united with her under the compact entitled "The Constitution of the United States of America."
We, the people of the State of South Carolina, in convention assembled, do declare and ordain, and it is hereby declared and ordained, That the ordinance adopted by us in convention on the twenty-third day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight, whereby the Constitution of the United States of America was ratified, and also all acts and parts of acts of the General Assembly of this State ratifying amendments of the said Constitution, are hereby repealed; and that the union now subsisting between South Carolina and other States, under the name of the "United States of America," is hereby dissolved.

Done at Charleston the twentieth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty.

Because ordinance was never legally rescinded, South Carolina must of necessity be considered occupied territory-- subject to the will and whim of the United States government. One may consider this an obscure historical oddity, but it is a fact and this fact tells us all we need to know about the nature of the union.

While many of our citizens, like a battered wife, have accepted their second class status in the union, many of us find it odious, offensive, and unacceptable.

While I do not object to the union of the states in principle, I believe this union should be completely voluntary and that this union should be strictly governed by the terms mutually agreed to by the ALL of the states.

If I had but one wish for this country, it would be that a new constitutional convention be called to determine whether or not the current arrangement is acceptable to all parties comprising these united States of America. Such a convention would provide each State the opportunity to renegotiate the terms of this union, thus guaranteeing that one state or region does not arbitrarily dictate la règle du jeu to any other state or region.

Otherwise, we should peaceably go our separate ways.

Such a separation would not necessitate the inability of the citizens of the various polities to maintain friendship, trade, and travel. This does not mean that we would not come to one another's aid should a defense of the continent become a necessity. This does mean, however, that we would no longer be unequally yoked together in a political marriage held together by guns and bayonets.

The next best thing, of course, would be a return to the original agreement between the States, i.e., the U.S. Constitution, which is what Ron Paul is trying to achieve in his bid for President.

Our current elected politician, however, will never restrict themselves of their own free will and accord. It will have to be forced upon them by the governed. This is why the Ron Paul Revolution is so important. It is our chance, as the people of the several states, to serve notice to those in positions of power that we will no longer consent to arbitrary and unconstitutional rule.

Only by binding the government with the heavy chains of a lawful constitution can we be in a position to secure our freedom reclaim our liberty.

So, today as we reflect on this day in the history of South Carolina, we are reminded that there one existed a people who loved LIBERTY more than UNION and FREEDOM more than SAFETY.

So, to my fellow South Carolinians and lovers of liberty everywhere: Happy Secession Day!

May we one day reclaim our place among the nations of the earth and once again be truly free!

Musharraf and Lincoln

I know you must think I am beating a dead horse with all of my Lincoln banter, BUT here we have yet another tyrant evoking Lincoln to justify illegal (and immoral) actions.

Musharraf understands Lincoln perfectly-- better than most Americans I know. Why do the American people continue to reverence this war criminal?

When are we going to come clean about Honest Abe and his legacy of terror?

Only then can we be in a position to begin to reclaim out God-given liberties!

Lincoln is the origin and foundation of the American empire and we have to rid ourselves of the chose mauvaise if we are to ever restore the constitutional republic established by our founders.

Check out the video. It says it all.

Bush's Detention Facilities

Houston-based KBR, formerly the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton Co., has a contingency contract in place with the Department of Homeland Security to construct detention facilities in the event of a national emergency...

Last week,
WND reported President Bush had signed May 9 a little-reported National Security and Homeland Security Directive (NSPD-51 and NSPD-20) that granted extraordinary powers to the president in the event of a declared national emergency, apparently without congressional approval or oversight.

NSPD-51/HSPD-20,
published on the White House website, rescinds Presidential Decision Directive 67 signed by Bill Clinton Oct. 21, 1998, and establishes a new White House office of the National Continuity Coordinator, a position now occupied by Frances Fragos Townsend, the assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Terrorism.

The new directive concentrates an unprecedented amount of emergency authority in the office of the president, specifying that the president now has the authority to direct "National Essential Functions" of all federal state, local, territorial and tribal governments, as well as private sector organizations in the event of a national emergency.

The directive loosely defines "catastrophic emergency" as "any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions."

I think that Mr. Lincoln has met his match. This usurpation of power, this unconstitutional power-grab, this treason against the United States of America, its laws, and its citizens should cause any doubter regarding the nature of the Empire to doubt no more.
Why is this not on the front page of every newspaper?!?!?

1984 and Beyond - Science Fiction Moving Into Reality

The Guardian reports that neuroscientists have determined how to look inside a person’s brain and read their intentions before they act. The new brain scans allow them to identify patterns of brain activity showing what a person plans to do in the near future...

After listening to George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four last week on my iPod, this article appeared on LewRockwell.com.
Perhaps thought crimes (crimethink in Newspeak) are closer than we would like to acknowledge.
I can only imagine what the Department of Homeland Security-- a Nineteen Eighty-Four sounding agency to begin with-- would do with this kind of technology.
With the latest assault on the U.S. Constitution, especially the 4th Amendment, via the Patriot Act and other illegal Big Brother legislation, I can only imagine things getting worse unless we the people of the sovereign states stand up to these usurpers in Washington.
After they finish with privacy, property, and speech, the only thing left is our thoughts.
Is tyranny for terror really a good trade? The Party thinks so.
Welcome to 1984.

The War on Terror

Hello & Greetings from Dixie!

Now what I wish to address is not THE war on terror currently being conducted by the US armed forces. I understand that it is too late to avert that one and that we MUST finish it. In fact, I was all for it until we decided that it was our job to plant the "seeds of democracy." [The democratically elected government in Palestine should be enough to convince those skeptical of my view on this matter] Government building is not our job, retaliation against those who would like to fly planes into our building, cut off people's heads, etc., is an all together different consideration. But I digress...

I am tired of being terrorized by our government in the form of taxation and intrusive policies under the auspices of protecting us from a small group of people bent on blowing themselves and others up for Allah. Until we can keep our citizens from killing each other, the exercise is one of futility.

This protectionalist ruse has been used by many here since "Honest" Abe opened this Pandora's Box in 1860. It is an excuse to disregard the Constitution and consolidate power.

What we need is something or someone to protect us from the government!

I haven't the slightest concern for being blown-up on a plane.

I am, however, concerned about those folks manning the gates and riffling through my person and property with the full sanction and authority of the Federal Government.

We should never sell our birthright for a pot of porridge, which is EXACTLY what we have done!
Consider the words of Benjamin Franklin:

"They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

I can choose not to fly, but I cannot choose to not pay my taxes-- at least without great material injury to my family.

Why should I, a citizen of South Carolina, be taxed for a bridge being built in Alaska (or anywhere else for that matter)?

Why should my hard earned money be shipped to foreign countries for God knows what?

Why should I struggle to make ends meet when my hard earned money is scattered to the four winds of heaven?

Thomas Jefferson said that, "To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical."

At least I am not alone in my assessment of tyranny! I think Mr. Jefferson would be with me on this...

Recently in South Carolina, our legislature voted for property tax relief, funding it by raising the sales tax. This shuck and jive election year stunt comes on the heels of a surplus of income to the state. Its not just the Feds, the states are in on the gig too!

What will it take to make us open our eyes?

George Washington would be reaching for his sword! Don't believe me? Check out the complaints lodge against the tyrant, King George as enumerated in our Declaration of Independence before we seceded from the British Empire.

[Go ahead, read it before continuing...]

How many of these outrages committed by King George do we suffer under today?

How much better off were we then as opposed to now?

Are we better off at all?

If we are not living under terror, then I would like to know what kind of liberty this is...

We are being terrorized by domestic and foreign enemies: one determined to rob us of our God given rights and lawfully obtained sustenance (The State) and one determined to terrorize us through murder and mayhem because of their extreme religious views (Islamo-Fascists are but one example).

Both are--or have become-- the enemy of a once free and proud people... Now mostly a Nation of Sheeple.

We can’t do much about the war overseas, but we can do something about the war going on here:

We can accomplish much by voting out the terrorist in Washington and replacing them with Patriots.

This may mean voting outside the two party system, i.e., voting for a candidate who is friendly to the Constitution instead of the voting the lesser of two evils.

This does not work and never will.

The Republicans have caused just as much mischief, if not more, than The Democrats previously in power.

They are the same! This is especially true at the National level.

Our domestic terrorists in power depend on an ignorant populist in order to increase/consolidate their power and rob us of our rights and goods.

Read the constitution of your state and the federal government and lay it against what you see going on around you. It will shock and amaze you!

We need to do something before we lose what little bit of personal liberty that we have left.

What will you do? What will I do?

~ P. C.

One of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the great struggle for independence. ~Charles A. Beard
